Mitch had a good pre-Test workout in the match against South Africa A in Benoniu, taking 4-45 off 15 overs on the final day to set up the win for Australia.

In doing so, he captured his 300th First Class wicket, to hit yet another milestone in his increasingly impressive career.

“I wasn’t aware of that stat until I was told, so it came as a surprise. But it was good to get the win and a great hit-out for us before the First Test next week,” said Mitch.

He will now turn his attention to the First Test against South Africa which starts in Durban on 1 March.
